Bagaawat

“Abbe jaldi karega bhosdike?”

S’s voice was barely audible. B didn’t look up, being far too involved in separating the twigs the and the seeds.

S paced across the room, illuminated barely with the torch of a phone, anxious and ready to jump at any moment. It was only a matter of time before he barked, “Abbe D aa jayega!”

“Done.”

B rose up from his workstation, holding the smoothly rolled wonder in his hands. Even S had to peel his eyes away from the scene to look for one last time at the door, before he could finally relax and look at B exhaling a puff of finely plumed smoke.

“Kaisa?”

S smiled for the first time. “Badhiya!” he said.

All of a sudden, the door flew open and the duo found themselves blinded by a flurry of light. D stood at the door.

“Bagaawat ki boo aa rahi hai.”
